I love to play badminton. I am starting to learn rock climbing. I also love to travel and have been to around 20 countries so far.
About Me
I am a freshman majoring in physics in USC with a GPA of 3.35. I have attended high school in Guangzhou, Shanghai and New Jersey. I was the founder and leader of a student organization named Global Issues Network in high school, where we strive to find local solutions for global problems. I was also involved in debate club, Habitat for Humanity and Choir.
Experience
I have been tutoring students for math and Chinese throughout high school. I had the highest tutor hours in my high school in New Jersey. I usually tutor students from 6-10th grade. I am currently participating in Joint Educational Project in USC, where we go to a nearby elementary school every week to teach 2nd grade students about Chinese culture.
Approach
I like to use many visual representations to help students to understand the underlying concepts of the subjects. I also like to use anecdotes to solidify the memorization of an equation, characters, or concepts. In terms of test prepping, I find most effective to teach students strategies first, then have them practice questions using those strategies until they are proficient in them.
