About Me
I am a native of maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia, MS. I recently obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree, with a minor in Psychology from the University of Mississippi. I relocated to Richardson to attend graduate school at the University of Texas at Dallas, where I am apart of the Masters of Science in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience program. I plan to obtain a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience and go on to do Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease research.
During the last two years of my matriculation at the University of Mississippi, I was employed as a Peer Leader by the Luckyday Scholarship program. Primary duties included dallas">tutoring scholarship recipients, proctoring study hall sessions, as well as acting as a mentor to Luckyday scholars. I have also tutored primary and elementary aged children for LeapFrog of Oxford, MS and Boys & Girls Club of America.
I believe it is most effective to show students how to apply what they are learning to real world situations. This allows students to better understand the importance of what they are learning, and therefore become more enthusiastic about school work. I am a very patient and diligent dallas">tutor. I am willing to put forth the necessary time and effort to ensure that a student excels academically. While I enjoy subjects like biology, psychology, and neuroscience, I am also very passionate about reading and writing courses. I believe education is perhaps the most vital principle of today's society, and I enjoy opportunities to educate others.
