Fun Facts
I love bicycling! I grew up mountain biking both the Santa Cruz Mountains and Coastal Ranges and I have since switched over to more road-based riding. I enjoy combining bicycling with other forms of exercise, whether it be biking to the beach for a surf session or to the gym for a lift session.
About Me
Hey guys! I'm Yash and recently graduated UCSD's Physiology & Neuroscience program with Provost Honors. I want to be an educator for your child because I find teaching to be one of the noblest and most rewarding professions out there. I believe that helping improve a student's academic performance is the purest form of legacy I can create and will allow me to grow as an individual alongside the student. I have also found that students often teach us more than we can ever teach ourselves and look forward to learning from your student even as I teach them.
I have experience tutoring High School & College subjects ranging from Chemistry AP to Statistics in a private, one-on-one setting. I also have extensive experience as a classroom teacher with Galileo Learning, a renowned Bay Area summer program for elementary & middle schoolers. Here, I taught science & technology courses including Lego Robotics and Physics of Roller Coasters. More recently I was an instructor for TechLab Education, another science & technology program at which I led both robotics and circuit design courses. I have helped high schoolers and college students achieve impressive results on both writing assignments and college essays alike.
I believe instructors can have a transformative effect not only on their students' knowledge but also their confidence and self-image. Patient instruction emphasizing reinforcement of concepts and challenging practice problems ensures a student's academic progress. I have developed a unique method by which to communicate complex concepts to students and ensure retention while building a bond based on compassion and respect with the student. I look forward to using this method while working closely with you, your student and your student's teacher to maximize the student's learning and academic success!
