Fun Facts
I am originally from Arizona and I love to travel! I have been to 5 out of the 7 continents. My other passions include playing the piano, volleyball, and reading. The Harry Potter series will always be some of my favorite books.
About Me
I graduated nursing school in May and obtained my BSN from Baylor University in Texas. I just recently moved to Nashville to work as a Cardiovascular ICU nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After some experience working as a nurse, I hope to earn my Doctorate and work as a CRNA. I learn so much every day in the ICU, and I continue to take classes in math, science and Spanish to keep my knowledge updated. I would love to help tutor in science, Spanish, math, or nursing subjects.
Experience
In high school, I was a member of National Honors Society and Spanish National Honors Society. Through those organizations, I was able to travel to multiple elementary schools and tutor young children in all subjects. I also began tutoring younger high school and middle school students in Algebra, Chemistry, Spanish, and Calculus. In college, I tutored fellow students in Chemistry, Calculus, Spanish, and Statistics. Since graduation, I have been tutoring nursing, math, science, and NCLEX prep.
Approach
I was fortunate enough to attend an elementary school geared towards problem-solving, abstract thinking, group work, and hands-on activities. From a very young age, I realized learning could be fun! My elementary school really helped me to become a lifelong learner. As a tutor, I implement many of these same concepts, and I try to always teach the theory behind the concept, so that my students can gain academic abilities that they can use not only in class, but throughout life!

Calculus I Tutoring
I took International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level Math in High School, so I finished Calculus I and II in high school, and earned a 4 on the IB exam and a 5 on the AP BC Calculus exam. At Baylor, I took calculus I again, as an elective, to brush up on my knowledge. I earned an A in that course. I have tutored calculus in both high school and college.
Chemistry I Tutoring
In high school, I took IB Higher Level Chemistry, so I completed Chemistry I and II in high school. I earned a 5 on the IB exam. I also earned credit for Intro to Chemistry from the SAT subject exam. At Baylor, I have taken Chemistry I again to stay current with my Chemistry knowledge. I earned an A in that course. I have tutored chemistry both in high school and college.
Nursing Tutoring
My major is in nursing, and I have earned A's in all nursing courses. The Baylor nursing school is very prestigious and I am obtaining an excellent education pertaining to nursing. I have also done some tutoring with fellow students
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I took International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level Math in High School, so I finished Calculus I and II in high school, and earned a 4 on the IB exam and a 5 on the AP BC Calculus exam. At Baylor, I took Calculus I again, as an elective, to brush up on my Calculus. I earned an A in that course. I have tutored Calculus and Pre-Calculus in both high school and college.
Spanish I Tutoring
I have taken 5 years of Spanish classes. All four years of high school, I took IB Spanish. I earned a 6 on the IB exam, which translated to credit for Spanish I and II. Also, two years ago I traveled to The Dominican Republic and practiced Spanish there for 3 weeks. I have tutored in Spanish in high school and college.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
In high school, I was enrolled in IB Higher level English which consisted of reading, and I scored a 6 on the IB exam. I have taken British Literature and two Thinking, Writing, and Research courses in College, and earned an As in all above courses. I also earned A's in all middle school English classes, and tutored all middle school subjects, including reading comprehension, my junior and senior years of high school.

Study Skills Tutoring
I have tutored one student for two years during my junior and senior years of high school in all middle school subjects. I focused on study skills for some sessions, and assisted with homework, comprehension, and time management.
Arts Tutoring
I have tutored elementary school children during my junior and senior years of high school. I tutored about 5 children weekly and helped them complete their homework, learn study skills, and comprehend concepts. Specifically to arts, I have taken many art classes, including Drawing and Painting, and Studio Art, and earned A's in all art classes. I have also earned A's in all literature courses.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have tutored elementary school-aged children during my junior and senior years of high school. I tutored about 5 children weekly and helped them complete their homework, learn study skills, and comprehend concepts.

I have played piano for about 12 years. I am well-versed in music theory, and have done some unofficial piano tutoring Can read and write music.
HESI Tutoring
At the university I graduated from, Baylor, we took A LOT of HESI exams. We had at least two HESI exams every semester. I became very well versed in the layout and organization of HESI, and did very well on every exam, scoring in the 90th percentile every time. I am qualified to help with any HESI exam, from pediatric nursing to psychiatric nursing to critical care nursing, I took them all :)
NCLEX Tutoring
I took the NCLEX this past summer, in June, and passed in 75 questions. Since then, I have been helping others with NCLEX preparation and explaining to them exactly what to expect. I would love to help out with any of your NCLEX prep needs!
