Fun Facts
I am a twin who also had twins. Also I have lived in 16 different states, visited even more, and lived in Germany for three years, and visited many countries during that time.
About Me
Recently retired from my full time status, as a math instructor at a major university, I love teaching students how to succeed in the classroom. My other passions are cooking, reading and traveling. Our current home is my 42nd residence since I was born, the result of grossing up in a military family.
Experience
I have taught at high schools, small colleges, and major universities since 1968. Subjects taught include: Alg I, Alg II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and General Math at the high school level; Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus for Business Majors, Calculus for Pre-Med majors, Math for the Elementary School Teacher I & II, Finite Math at the college and university level.
Approach
Since retiring, I have enjoyed tutoring to help students realize their full potential. Often there is a concept missing which makes the whole problem very difficult. I have also coached students on study skills, organization and time management skills which are very important to their success in college.

I also wrote a book with Brooks/Cole Publishing to help students with Pre-Cal topics.

Taught high school mathematics from 1968-1973. Subjects taught included Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Cal, and General Math. During that time I supervised student teachers from Arizona State University, and rose to the level of Department Chairman.
