Fun Facts
One thing you will learn about me extremely quickly is that I love sports, specifically football. On Sundays during football season you will find me in front of the TV engulfed in the game. I am the oldest of 2 and I was born and raised in Atlanta. I also enjoy boxing. I recently begin to learn to play the guitar and I love to travel.
About Me
I am currently a Middle School Math and Science Teacher. I graduated from Howard University with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Biology and the Classics. Additionally, I received a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Health Education from Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health.
Experience
As a teacher, I hold after school tutoring sessions on a weekly basis for my scholars. Additionally, I consistently work with scholars one on one in the classroom environment. During my time at Howard University, I volunteered with the Heads Up Program in DC as a math and reading tutor for students between 1st and 5th grade
Approach
As a teacher, I have learned it is essential to meet scholars where they are and build their passion for the subject. As the tutor, I strive to bring the same excitement for learning I provide in my classroom through the use of technology and pushing scholars to use what they know to find answers through hands- on activities.
