I am super competitive and quite the sports fan. I especially like baseball and football. I would like to travel more and see some of those games live as opposed to on television.

About Me

I am a math teacher at Rio Rancho High School and at Central NM Community College. I have 2 children, ages 26 and 17. I am an active member of Sagebrush Community Church.

Experience

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's in Secondary Education both from the University of New Mexico. I have been teaching math at one level or another since 1993. I have been at RRHS for 21 years and CNM for 18 years.

Approach

I have always been strong with numbers. It is not enough to just get the answer, I always want to know why and whether there are multiple ways to get there. In my teaching, if one way isn't registering, then I have the background to go with alternate methods until we find one everyone is happy with.
