Fun Facts

I am the eldest of three children of a Nicaraguan-American Family, I was born in Nicaragua but moved to Florida when I was four years old. I am fluent in Spanish and have a working knowledge of Italian, French and Portuguese. I also enjoy working with computers and keep up with new technologies and their applications for teaching. In addition to this, I am also CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certified, and am currently working on my CompTIA A+ certification.

About Me

I am a graduate of Florida International University with a degree in English with a minor in Education. I have over 10 years of experience miami">tutoring students as well as 3 years experience teaching. I currently work as a math/reading interventionist within the archdiocese of Miami.

Experience

I have been miami">tutoring other students since my junior year of high school, I currently work as an interventionist within the archdiocese of Miami focusing on students that are below grade level in reading and math from grades k-12. I currently have 3 years of experience teaching.

Approach

When miami">tutoring students I understand that there are several factors which can impair the student's ability to learn. As such, I always coordinate my miami">tutoring efforts with both the student's parents and teachers in order to pinpoint where exactly the student is facing difficulties and proceed accordingly. I believe that this is a very effective approach because it provides more than one point of view on what might be challenging the student's ability to learn.
