Biology I Tutoring

I took this course this past year and received an A. I love Biology, and want to go into a career of medicine. This course focuses more on cells and microscopic aspects of biology (as opposed to specialities such as animal behavior) and I truly enjoyed it, and hope I can help other students do well in this course.

Biology II Tutoring

I took this course this past year and received an A. I love Biology, and want to go into a career of medicine. This course focuses on a wide variety of topics, from general immunology to ecology and I truly enjoyed it, and hope I can help other students do well in this course.

Chemistry I Tutoring

I have also taken General Chemistry at Rhodes and received a 97 in both the class and lab. I've also taken Organic Chemistry and received an A in that class as well. I enjoy Chemistry much more than I originally thought I would, and hope I can confer this passion to my students.

English Tutoring

I received a score of 34 on the ACT English Section, and a perfect score of 800 on the SAT Reading Section. I have also taken both AP Language and Composition and AP Poetry. I only took the AP exam for AP Language and Composition, and I received the top score of 5. I have also taken a writing intensive course at Rhodes College, and received an A on every paper. My high school, Memphis University School, was very rigorous in grammar and English, and this has benefitted me immensely.

Latin Tutoring

I took Latin starting in eighth grade and continued it through high school. I loved it the whole way through, especially how you can derive the meaning of so many English words from your knowledge of Latin. I took AP Latin and received a 5 on that exam, and hope I can encourage my students to use Latin even in English classes, and confer my passion for it to them.

Organic Chemistry I Tutoring

I took this course this past year and really enjoyed it. Organic Chemistry has a very sinister reputation, and most students are afraid of it before they even start the class. However, I found that with a positive mindset, I really did well. I finished out the class with a high A, and enjoyed tutoring friends along the way.

Psychology Tutoring

I took this class this past year and loved it, especially the neurological aspects of it. I enjoyed studying these disorders, and hope I can help treat people with them. I also look forward to helping students grasp some of the difficult concepts of Psychology while showing them how important and enjoyable studying this subject is.
