Fun Facts

I studied abroad in Paris and traveled through Spain, Italy, England and Ireland. My favorite books are The Great Gastby and East of Eden. I enjoy practicing yoga, being outdoors, and dancing. My favorite team is the Chicago Bears and I like watching European Soccer, as well as the World Cup.

About Me

I am graduate student working on my masters in World Language Education. I completed my undergraduate degree from Middlebury College in International Studies. I am a Chicago native and graduated from Walter Payton College Prep.

My experience chicago">tutoring began in college, chicago">tutoring middle and high school students in Vermont and helping them with their homework. My first teaching experience provided me various opportunities to chicago">tutor students who needed extra help with French and Spanish. As a middle school teacher, I would often help students with math and other subjects during the study hall periods I supervised.

I really enjoy fusing a student's interests and the subject together to make the learning experience more enjoyable. Besides a basic, direct approach of explanation and implementation through written exercises, I enjoy playing games with the material and trying out different ideas to apply the knowledge in a real-world context. Additionally, I encourage students to ask questions and encourage repetition in each session to ensure the content is internalized.
