Fun Facts

I am quite the traveler; I have visited over 15 different European countries.

I am a part of ASU's Sun Devil DanceSport, a dance club where I practice and compete in Latin dancing.

I also enjoy being outdoors so hiking, tubing, biking, rock-climbing and running are some of my favorite hobbies/ interests. In fact, I hold track records at my old high school and have been hiking all over Arizona.

About Me

I am a 21 year old college graduate of ASU. I hold my degree in Linguistics as well as a minor in Spanish and a certificate to teach English as a second language (TESOL).

I enjoy learning as well as sharing what I know and the resources disposable to me. For this reason, I love to help people learn or grow as well as give back to the community through service. Although, I am not all work and no play. I love hanging out with my friends/ family and keeping my body active just like my mind.

Experience

I have tutored independently for years now in many subjects at different levels. I have mostly worked with young children as that is my passion though I have and will work with older children as well as adults.

Approach

As for my approach to phoenix">tutoring, I think learning should be a fun and personal process so being friendly, warm and just having a bubbly personality is important. Of course, the main focus is learning which is pretty serious business. In my opinion, it should be treated with patience, clarity and preparedness. As someone who used to struggle with school in the past (mainly math), keeping the clients motivated and getting them excited is key.
