I enjoy writing poetry, watching good movies, baking, and spending time with friends. I am a blackbelt in karate who plays the piano for fun and swims during my free time. I love rainy Saturdays curled up on the couch reading a good book.

About Me

I am a Liberal Studies graduate currently in the Elementary School Teaching Credential program at Sacramento State University. I aspire to be a teacher one day and share my love of learning to make school fun. I also have a personal goal to never stop learning new things.

I was a student assistant at Cosumnes River College for both English and ESL classes. I have also done private writing and reading-comprehension/california/sacramento">reading comprehension sacramento">tutoring for elementary school kids, and I have had over 100 hours of working with students in and out of classroom settings. I have also taught music, science, and karate to small groups.

I like to look for the individual needs of a student and try to come up with innovative, creative, and interesting ways to captivate his or her attention and make the subject matter more applicable and exciting. I love to teach new things and helping students realize that they can overcome their struggles with learning by putting in hard work and effort. I work best one on one or in small groups, because I feel that it gives me the maximal opportunity to help a student.
