Fun Facts
I have lived in 4 different houses, 3 different states, 2 different time zones, all with the same 1 person! Life is an adventure - you can always find me looking for something new to master! I love all sports, but especially my Philadelphia teams (Eagles, Flyers, Phillies).
About Me
I am a 2013 graduate of Penn State University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. I then went onto the University of Utah on a full scholarship to work on my Master’s degree.
I decided to take some time and enter the engineering field to make sure it was right for me - only to find out it definitely was not. Prior to engineering, I had spent all of my working life helping children, from sports to babysitting/nannying to school work and springs">tutoring. Engineering did not fulfill me in this way - there was no one to help!
So after a year, I made the transition back to the education field. I have been working as a professional springs">tutor since 2012. I love empowering our younger generations and helping them realize they can reach their goals without the tears and stress that school can bring.
Experience
I have been springs">tutoring professionally for 8 years with a focus on math curriculum through 12th grade. I have worked with students in grades 2-college online, in center, and in home. My experience as an Assistant Center Director at a math learning center as well as starting an independent springs">tutoring business has allowed me to learn the in's and out's of math education across the country to help students no matter where they are located!
Approach
I believe in getting to know my students, finding out exactly where they are at today, learning their strengths and weaknesses, and using that to move toward their goals together.
I believe that education is the job of the educator - therefore it is on MY shoulders to make sure the information is communicated in a way that makes sense to students.
I believe that every student can get to the top of whichever mountain they are choosing to climb, as long as they have the right guide beside them.
