I love music and was in band for 8 years. I love learning new things. When I was little, I gained my love for writing from all the encouragement from my teacher. I love teaching children new things and seeing them understand things.

About Me

My name is Megan Whitaker and I am currently completing my third year of college. I am majoring in education/florida/miami">special education with a minor in psychology and am excited to be able to teach. I love working with children and I love watching them learn.

Experience

I was a miami">tutor at Read2Succeed from June 2010 – August 2011. There I worked with children from 1st-5th grade. I worked there at an after school program and also at a summer camp program. I have also been miami">tutoring students in math and reading from kindergarten up until high school.

Approach

My goal is to teach the children so that they learn. If I see that they do not understand, I will teach it a different way. I am very interested in helping them any way I can. I believe that students learn best through hands on engaging activities.
