About Me
I am student at Sacramento State University studying literature. I am extremely passionate about working in my subject, and take my studies very seriously. I'm getting my degree to work towards a high school English credential, so that I can join my love for literature with my zeal for working with youth. However, I've been taking my time with school as I am supporting myself all through school.
I have been working with youth for the past four years, and have a lot of experience in working with youth one on one. Most of my work has been in the form of youth empowerment; giving youth skills and confidence to be leaders in they're own communities. This process has been the most powerful thing in my life for years.
My method when it comes to sacramento">tutoring is very Socratic, and leads youth toward their own understanding of the material. I have a strong conviction that the most valuable skill that youth get from school is the process of learning things. To this end, I strive to help youth find their own answers, and develop their own methods of learning so that as they move on into adulthood they can rise to its challenge on their own.
