Fun Facts
I like taking initiatives. If you realize that something is broken and believe that you have the power and the knowledge to fix it, you should, right?
During my first year of teaching I did just that. I realized that my students were more than 3 grade level behind and therefore didn't have the foundational skills to learn current information.

About Me
I tutored Math and English for four years NYC while attending College. In June 2012, I responded to call made by the Memphis Teaching Follows to bring the educational gap that exist between different social and ethnic groups in the USA and accepted a job as a math-middle-school/tennessee/memphis">Middle School Math teacher in one of the most notorious school in the city. After a year of teaching I have decided to go back for a Masters in Education to better serve my students. I am taking time to memphis">tutor as it is a great passion of mine.
Tracking students progress is very important and since I have a background and research, I am very data driven. To track my students progress, I use a pre-test at the first session and a post-test at the end. The difference between these two tests will determine how much they have learned during my sessions. However, I use different assessments throughout the duration of the memphis">tutoring to determine my students' level of mastery of a particular skill or subject.
Keeping a steady line of communication with parents is critical. It helps setting expectations and make the parents an integral part of their child learning experience. For that reason, I always provide feedback to parents after each session and always remind them of the important goals or dates associated with their child learning. I always make sure that I have parents phone number and email.
