Fun Facts
I love other cultures, this is what encouraged me to study Spanish in the first place. I lived in Chile for 6 months and I plan to live in another Spanish speaking country such as Spain eventually! My family lives in Montana but I came to Seattle to play college volleyball. Originally I thought I wanted to become a physician, but after studying abroad I realized my true passion was language and learning about other cultures, so here I am!
About Me
I recently finished studying Spanish at Seattle University with a pre-med specialization. I took all of the biochem, biology, physics and chemistry series which gives me a well rounded education, I feel very fortunate. My plans now that I have finished school are to eventually save up enough money to move to Spain to teach English! When I return to the United States I plan on getting a masters in Public Health.
Experience
I have coached volleyball for several years now, which lead me to consider tutoring because I loved it so much. When I lived in Chile I tutored some of my fellow Chilean friends in learning English. It was a very laid back setting but I proved to be good at it and they were very appreciative. I also often helped friends and teammates with their Spanish homework and studying for tests.
Approach
My sister has a mental disability that makes learning very difficult for her. By growing up with her, tutoring became second nature and I developed a love for helping others learn. I found with her that the best way to learn is to work through problems together and focus on patterns in whatever subject I am teaching.

Spanish I Tutoring
I have taken many Spanish classes throughout my career (I was a Spanish major), including classes discussing Latin American culture, history and literature- all taught entirely in Spanish. I obtained a 3.8 average major GPA and have proven to be good at the subject. By living in a Spanish speaking country I have a very unique fluidity with the subject.

Conversational Spanish Tutoring
I have taken many Spanish classes all the way through advanced Spanish, but the reason I would be able to tutor conversational Spanish effectively is because of my unique experiences abroad. I lived in Chile for 5 months in addition to visiting Mexico several times. I have many Spanish speaking friends from both countries making conversational Spanish a strength of mine. I would love the opportunity to share this skill with you!
