Fun Facts

I am the youngest of five children, all of whom play different instruments. I went to conservatory to study viola performance before I started my undergraduate degree at Yale. I love to go backpacking, hike, cook, and read. I sing jazz and am taking salsa lessons for fun!

About Me

With a B.A. from Yale (Class of '17) in Near Eastern Language and Civilizations, I study Hebrew, Spanish, and Arabic. I am a Phi Beta Kappa Member and received a Libby Rouse Fund for Peace Fellowship, Ganzfried Travel Fellowship, and Schusterman Grant to pursue research, study, or work in the Middle. I am a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship recipient in Hebrew and a Yale Wrexham Prize Nominee for my senior thesis, "Musical Diplomacy in Practice: Polyphony as a Case Study."

Experience

While interning in Nazareth, Israel for Polypony, which builds bridges between Arab and Jewish youth through classical music, I taught violin, viola, and chamber music to students ranging in age from 7-16. At Yale, I am a Freshman Counselor, acting as a freshman adviser to ease the transition to academic, social, and cultural life at Yale. I have started Suzuki teacher training, taking Every Child Can!, and plan to continue with the Suzuki training.

Approach

I am truly passionate about learning and teaching and am ready to bring a positive and energized approach to my lessons. I am an extremely patient person and am comfortable working with a variety of ages. It is also crucial to tailor teaching style to each student's needs, learning style, and learning pace. I am committed to helping my student's succeed!
