Fun Facts

I love to write and illustrate children's picture books in my free time. I never tire of pulling characters from my imagination and putting them on paper. Another passion that I have is running. It can be a tricky hobby in a state without year-round sun but I crave it. In addition I love to go camping and get outdoors. Hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking . . . if it is something to do outside, chances are I love it!

About Me

I am currently an English Literature Major with a Creative Writing Minor at washington/seattle">seattle-university">washington/seattle">Seattle University. In addition to being a full-time student I am also a stay at home mom to my five-year-old son Landon. Being a mom has taught me how to be patient, how to handle significant responsibility, how to be a better person. English is also something that speaks to who I am. Whether I am reading or writing, analyzing another author's work or creating my own, I adore every facet of the subject.

I am a new hire with Frog washington/washington/seattle">seattle">Tutoring and I look forward to expanding my experience as a professional washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor. While I was in high school I informally assisted other students when needed but I have no formal washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring experience. I am currently in the process of helping my five-year-old son learn the alphabet and understand reading/writing and this has contributed to my experience teaching others. My academic history and passion for helping students translate well to washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring and mentoring.

I feel that an individualized approach to washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring is necessary. I want to get to know a student, fully understand their needs, and formulate my plan using the information I've gathered. It is also key to establish a good relationship with the parents and teachers in order to provide the highest quality washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring experience possible. I absolutely adore helping others and I would love to help students of all grade levels achieve their academic goals.
