About Me

I am currently a post doc at UIC. I completed my BS in University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and got a scholarship to do my PhD in Chemistry at University of South Carolina. I completed my PhD recently and joined as a post doc in UIC. Apart from Chemistry I have completed British Computer Society Professional Computer exams and a world prize winner in certificate level in 2008.

Experience

I worked as a Assistant lecture at University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a graduate teaching assistant in Wayne State University and University of South Carolina.

Approach

With the experience of teaching in 3 different Universities I believe I am well experienced with teaching students with heterogeneous cultural backgrounds and different levels of knowledge. I have a strong understanding about the fundamentals of chemistry and I am very confident that I would be able to teach any area of chemistry effectively to students.
