Fun Facts
One thing that is pretty important about me is that I love sports and physical activity. I am a collegiate athlete and I've been on a sports team (whether its track, volleyball, or soccer) since I was in the 6th grade. It has taught me the beauty of failure and shown me that hard work produces benefits. I would not be the person I am today without the support of my teams and coaches, who always encouraged me to strive for the best in life.
About Me
Hello, I am a recent graduate of Rhodes College, with a degree in Business, with a concentration in Finance and Accounting. I minored in Political Science. Going to a liberal arts school has allowed me to take a plethora of courses beyond my major from which I derived my expertise in various subjects. I graduated with a 3.5 GPA and I work as a consultant for a Fortune 500. In two years, I will be pursuing my JD/MBA at the school of my choice.
Experience
As an intern at the GEMS camp of Houston, I had the opportunity to tutor girls from the age of 7 to 15 in all types of subjects. I have volunteered my tutoring services at many schools in Houston and my 2 younger siblings never hesitate to ask me for help in any subject. I graduated from Rhodes College and have been working as a tutor with FrogTutoring for 3 years. As my students reach levels of success that no longer require my assistance, I would love to offer my assistance to new scholars.
Approach
As a child, I would breeze through all of my subjects but that changed when I got to high school and experience a whole new set of rigorous classes. I understand the need for someone who is there not only to encourage you to succeed, but who will also sit with you and figure out problems step by step. Positivity and adjustment are my two biggest approaches because every student has a different way of learning.

Algebra Tutoring
I have taken an extensive range of math courses including Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB and Calculus BC. In order to do well in all these subjects I had to have a strong foundation of Algebra.
AP History Tutoring
I have taken a total of 3 years worth of History classes and made a 4 on the US History AP exam and a 5 of the World History AP exam.

I have taken 2 years of Economics and recently made an A in my economics class at Rhodes College.

I have taken 2 years of government and plan to continue to take more specialized government courses over the course of my college career. I made a 4 on the AP Government exam which attests to my expertise in this subject.

I received a score of 680 out of 800 on the Math section of the SAT and tutored many students at the YMCA on this subject.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
I have taken numerous writing classes during my time in school which gave me the tools to make a 760 out of 800 on the Verbal sections of the SAT and score a 10 out of 12 on the Writing portion.

I have taken Spanish for the past 4 years, 3 years in high school and 2 semesters in college.
Study Skills Tutoring
I took a year of Study Skills in high school. Along with that and the guidance of all my teachers and peers I have amassed a decent amount of knowledge about what is needed to succeed in school. I know that learning is a different puzzle for everyone and I want to help you put that puzzle together.
