Fun Facts
I am a "glass half full" kind of person, and welcome any and all challenges that come my way. Raised by two psychologists, my interpersonal communication skills are very honed, and I deeply enjoy collaborative learning environments. About Me
I am a seeker of knowledge, endlessly inquisitive, and passionate about sharing both. I am also an autodidact, for after high school, instead of immediately embarking on the next academic chapter, I backpacked around the world, lived at a Buddhist Monastery in France, and dove head first into one of my strongest passions: film writing. My tutoring experience ranges from teaching piano and English comprehension to Vietnamese children at a Buddhist monastery in France, to assisting film professors in teaching high school students the craft of film writing and production. I have also done extensive community volunteer work in Los Angeles, including recording Dr. Seuss books on tape for ESL students, chaperoning children who suffer from Muscular Dystrophy, and educating elementary school children about environmental conservation and accompanying them on local beach cleanups.
My method for tutoring is to engage students on a multidimensional level. It is my belief that education is not simply about strengthening the intellect, but also a process by w
