Fun Facts

I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I have two younger brothers in Kindergarten and 2nd grade. I recently retired from competitive Irish dancing due to hip injuries. Now I teach dance classes and am studying to get my official teaching license from Ireland. I have a 2 year old Siberian Husky named Kendall. I have lived on an Indian Reservation in Minnesota.

About Me

I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I have two younger brothers in Kindergarten and 2nd grade. Before moving to Drexel, I had never been to the East Coast (with the exception of Disney World). At Drexel, I am a bio major and will then continue to get my Masters in Public Health there as well (all within five years). In St. Louis I went to an all-girls Catholic high school.

In high school I was chair of National Honor Society philadelphia">tutoring committee. Along with helping to organize philadelphia">tutoring arrangements, I spent after school hours philadelphia">tutoring underclassmen. I as a junior and senior in high school I tutored students grades 6-10 in English, Math, History, and general study techniques.

I feel that, while each philadelphia">tutor may lean towards a particular style, it is important to be flexible to each individual child's needs and learning strengths. I find that many student benefit from speaking, either explaining their math processes as they do it or "teaching me" about a subject they are studying or trying to learn. If a student can clearly articulate the subject it shows they fully grasp it.
