In my classroom, I really enjoy combining music with many content areas because music is something else I truly enjoy. It works wonders when motivating students who are struggling with a particular subject area.

About Me

I absolutely love my job as a NY State certified Kindergarten teacher in Richmond Hill, Queens. I have taught Pre-K, 1st and 2nd grade as well in my ten years experience. I've learned many of my queens">tutoring techniques through my experiences with my students. Through them, I've learned a lot about how young minds work and process information.

Math queens">tutoring sessions begin with a simple assessment so as to meet students where they are and to determine need. Instruction involves step-by-step modeling of a new skill, followed by thoroughly supported guidance and then independent practice. Finally, we check work and do more problem solving in order to clarify and understand mistakes, which are great learning opportunities!

With Reading, we begin a basic assessment in order to determine the student's reading level. Strong and careful guidance is provided while reading high quality literature. Skills are reinforced through the practice of word work and authentic activities.

queens">Tutoring with me includes plenty of positive reinforcement and praise. The most valuable thing my clients will learn from me is that they have the power within themselves to accomplish anything they set their minds to.
