About Me
I'm a sophomore Film Studies/French double major and Art History minor at washington/seattle">seattle-university">washington/seattle">Seattle University in Washington State. I have studied French for a total of 7 years now and am headed into my eighth. I tested Higher Level French for the International Baccalaureate program during high school, receiving an overall 4.
So far the only washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring experience I have had has been in a non-official capacity, however I have worked as an instructor before; I was a selected volunteer for a children's day camp where I assisted with teaching. This involved teaching a group of about twelve 8-11 year olds about the environment and its preservation.
It's important to allow any student to become excited about whatever it is they're studying. In my personal French studies, I've noticed that I learned best when I was engaged in French conversation and cultural experiences. I would bring this kind of excitement and engagement to washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring because I feel that it not only makes the learning process for grammar and the technical parts of the language more organic, but also far more enjoyable. Having been a student of French for so long, I can better understand how someone might want to learn the language, which I think is a valuable asset to have as a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor.
