Fun Facts
I am a licensed Zumba instructor. I performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade when I was 14 years old. I went to the state spelling bee in middle school and was also on the math team and placed in our science fairs. In high school, I was the president of 3 clubs all within one year.
About Me
I am the prime example of a left and right brainer. I am a musical theatre performer who also has a passion for writing, editing, and analytical studies. I recently moved to washington/seattle">Seattle, WA in order to pursue my love of the arts while maintaining a balance with my personal life!
I became a certified washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor at the University of Arizona Writing Center in 2010. I worked at the writing center washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring undergraduate and graduate students in many fields of study, focusing on writing techniques, analyzing materials, grammar, and overall structure. During this time, I also worked with a large number of English as a Second Language (ESL) students, greatly expanding my washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring technique toolbox and my level of patience as a peer washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor.
I am a very outgoing person and use my upbeat, fun personality to put students at ease. I have found that my positive nature helps students relax and allows our sessions to be collaborative. Showing your personal writing can make you feel very vulnerable, therefore, I do my best to make sure my students know that I am not there to judge, I am there to give them the tools they need to succeed not only on this specific piece of writing, but also on future assignments. I want my students to leave with the tools they need to approach their next writing assignment with confidence and ease.
