Fun Facts
I am a mom of two kids. I was born in Peru and came to this country 10 years ago. I always had the passion to teach. I used to teach my little cousins English, we always played that I was the teacher and they were the students. At present, I am working to achieve that dream and get certified by NJ state to become a Spanish teacher
About Me
I'm Veronica. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish in college. I am a member of the National Hispanic Honor Society Sigma Delta Pi and also I am a native Spanish speaker. My ultimate goal is to become a certified Spanish teacher, and I am working on that.
Experience
The experience I have as a tutor is teaching English privately in Peru. I also used to help my cousins with their homework and with English grammar while they were at school.
Approach
The approach I have planned to use in my lessons is to introduce the topic within a cultural framework of the target language. So, you will not only learn grammar, composition and linguistic structures, but also you will learn about cultural practices and perspectives of the target language through interaction and practice. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the student's needs. Students can count on me for any homework help, I also welcome any suggestions to improve my sessions.
