Fun Facts
During my college years, I spent 6 months in Spain and it was one of the greatest times of my life! I am the oldest of 9 children. I am in my 20s, my baby brother is 5 years old. I have a 2-month old son and he is the love of my life. We both enjoy reading, listening to music, and watching cooking shows. I hope to travel the world one day!
About Me
I attended Kalamazoo College, where I majored in Spanish. Currently, I am a Spanish teacher. One of my main goals is to have my own program for students that want to learn Spanish and Spanish-speaking families that want to learn English.
Experience
My experience with tutoring has varied. I have tutored elementary-age students in mostly reading and math. When tutoring older students, including high schoolers, the range of subjects expands to English, Writing, Reading, Spanish, Math, and some Science. I have had much success with helping students to reach their academic goals. Most of my students need tutoring in Math or Spanish, but I have experience tutoring numerous subjects,
Approach
Everyone learns differently and I like to present content in all of the learning styles. I also make sure to assess the student’s needs before we even start a lesson, in order to determine what will work best for them. I love when students ask questions. I remember a specific teacher I had in high school that made me feel inferior anytime I asked a question. I made a vow that if I were to ever become a teacher, I would never let my students feel that way.

Spanish I Tutoring
I majored in Spanish, taking high level Spanish courses. I took Spanish I, II and III in college, a Spanish literature course, and more. Most of my high level courses, we strictly spoke in Spanish.
