Fun Facts
I was a former amateur skateboarder for large companies such as DC footwear and Quiksilver. Although skateboarding would have been an interesting career I decided to pursue a college degree instead. In school I found my love of Science and have not looked back since.
About Me
Currently I am pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering and exploring the option of acquiring a BS in Chemistry as well. I absolutely love Science (Chemistry Biology, etc) and Mathematics. Along with Science and Math I love teaching/columbus">tutoring in these subjects and I really enjoy when I see the student nail down the concepts.
I have tutored from elementary school all the way up through college. I have watched students with grades below 50% turn their grades into above 90%. What a student needs a someone to help push them outside of the classroom.
I believe a student has issues for two reasons:
1. The material is not taught in a manner conducive to how the student learns. I always try to present the material in any manner that may help the students' understanding.
2. The second is the student does not try because they are afraid of failure. This is understandable because no one likes to fail. I help guide the students to reduce that failure and also show failure is part of the process, but those mishaps are never eternal and I help them get back on that horse and try again.
