Fun Facts
In the summer of 2016 I worked for Duke University's DukeTIP program in which I was the Neuropsychology Instructor. I worked with gifted and talented middle and high school students. One of my students from Duke was just featured on Steve Harvey's Funderdome television show. She was funded 20,000 for her invention.
About Me
I majored in Biology at The University of Houston. There, I was able to take numerous biology, chemistry and physics courses. I later transferred to Our Lady of the Lake University where I studied Human Sciences. My Human Sciences degree plan allowed me to study Psychology, Sociology, as well as Political Science.
Experience
I became certified as a teacher (all core subjects) in 2013 in which I taught Middle School Science for 3 years. While teaching I returned to Our Lady of the Lake University to obtain a graduate degree in Psychology. I continued to teach and interned at The Monarch School for Neurological Differences. There, I worked with many students who suffer with an intellectual disability or mental illness.
Approach
I believe tutoring has the ability to make a great difference in student's lives. I believe there are many issues in today’s society, and what better way to help make a shift in the direction of this world than by starting with those of our future? Our students are our future and if I can help them to obtain knowledge, and show them how to transition through life’s stages then success is inevitable.
