Communication Tutoring

I have a B.A. in Communication Studies, with an emphasis in journalism. My coursework included classes on rhetoric and rhetorical theory, narrative, media, public speaking, reporting, and communication theory. I was a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the honor society for communication studies majors. I also served as a speech writing tutor in college.

Graduate Level Writing Tutoring

I hold two master's degrees and wrote a 130-page thesis, which my professors said clearly showed I was ready for doctoral work. I am familiar with the various styles used in graduate writing.

Latin Tutoring

I have an intermediate mastery of reading Latin. I am well-prepared to tutor students in the basic concepts of the Latin language, including tips and tricks for learning various elements (declensions, tenses, voice, etc.).

Philosophy Tutoring

I hold a master's degree in philosophy. My coursework included a wide survey of the history of philosophy, from ancient to contemporary, with a specialization in Aristotle and Thomism.

Religion Tutoring

I hold a master's degree in theology. I am very familiar with the teachings of Christianity, particularly Catholicism, and have a strong grasp of many other of the major world religions, particularly Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism.
