Fun Facts
I took salsa classes for first time during my first year of graduate school...and I really love it. Someday soon, I hope to run a 5k. Lastly, I am learning to be a better cook.

I am a PhD student at Lousiana State University Health Sciences Center. Right now, I am a Graduate Student Researcher.
Experience
I taught literacy for 4th graders attending summer school. Working for FrogTutoring gives me the opportunity to positively impact students' lives and cultivate learning!
Approach
I think it is best to understand how that person thinks and then create a tutoring plan that fits them. I aim to give students the skills that will help them to be successful in all their classes and support academic independent thinking. Also, creating multiple short term milestones for the student is easier to manage than long term milestones.

I have a minor degree in French Studies from the University of Maryland and took three years of French in high school.My transcripts are attached as a reference for my grades.

English Tutoring
I took three AP English courses in high school, I had a passing score on both of those exams. I also took two college level English courses. I received a A- grade in one course and a B- grade in the other. In general, I am a strong writer and used those writing skills to succeed in my graduate program.

History Tutoring
I took AP American History, AP Comparative Government and AP U.S Government in high school and earned a passing score on two of those exams. I took two history courses in college and earned an A- in one course in and @- in the other.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Throughout my academic experience I have learned how key Reading Comprehension is to the student's academic success. Understanding what you are reading and/or being asked to do is the foundation to any obstacles to learning. Using my own personal experience, I can help to guide a student to overcome their obstacles to learning.
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I have taken college level Biology I, II and III. I have also taken college level Anatomy and Physiology I and II.
AP English Tutoring
I took AP Literature and AP Language and Composition myself in HS. I have taken English 101 and Technical Writing in college.
