About Me

Hi! My name is Thao Nguyen-Le and I'm a recent graduate from boston-university">Boston University. While at school, I was a double major in international relations and economics. Currently I work full time at a Boys & Girls Club.

My boston">tutoring experience comes from working more than 5 years at Kumon Math and Reading center where I spent one on one time boston">tutoring students from ages 5 to 17 on the subjects of math and reading.

From working at Kumon, I learned that a boston">tutor must be patient and try to understand where the child is having problems. Once I have identified their weakness, I focus on that area and hope to turn that weakness into a strengths. I also believe in repetition as an effective way for a child to learn. Through constant practice on the same type of problem, the child will be able to solve it everytime he/she sees it. More importantly I believe learning should be fun. I love to find creative ways to help the child learn no matter how unconventional it may be.
