Fun Facts
I love adventure and travel! This summer, I embarked on a six week journey around Europe in which I traversed through 13 countries and 20 cities. In my free time, I am fairly active, and I love to be outdoors either hiking or backpacking. I am also very passionate about service to others, and I particularly enjoy mentoring children from underserved communities. I am looking forward to making my last year as a TCU student the best one yet!
About Me
I am a senior Biology major with Chemistry and Mathematics minors on the pre-med track at Texas Christian University. I am on a full-ride academic scholarship as a Chancellor's Scholar, and I am currently applying to medical schools across the United States. I am also in the John V. Roach Honor's College and Alpha Delta Epsilon (the pre-med honor's society). When I graduate, I hope to continue on to medical school where I will potentially study family medicine or pediatrics.
Experience
During my senior year of high school, I began my chandler">tutoring career by helping freshmen with various mathematics subjects 2-3 times a week. Upon entering college, I was employed by FrogTutors for one year, and I loved everything the job entailed. I am now returning to continue to use my strengths to help empower other students!
Approach
Throughout school, I would feel very discouraged whenever I did not understand the lesson in class. However, thanks to the support of my parents and teachers, I learned how to utilize all of my resources, and I also had many individuals to root for me. I place a huge emphasis on positivity and encouragement as well as exploring different teaching methods when another method is not making sense. It is important for students to fully understand the subject and to be able to be proud of themselves.
