I absolutely love to sing and dance in the car! I'm sure I have gained a good amount of looks from people driving next to me. I also love to smile and laugh!

About Me

I am a senior at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University working on my Bachelors in Psychology with honors. I am apart of Wayne States Community Scholars, which has awarded me the Green Scholarship. When I graduate I hope to continue onto Graduate School to earn my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology.

During, my senior year, as part of the National Honors Society in high school, I tutored a girl in the 5th grade. I mostly helped her with math and kept her on track to finishing her homework. Every so often, I would also help her older brother, who was in 7th grade, with his History homework as well. My most recent experience was this past year when I tutored a 9th grade boy as part of my volunteer work for Wayne State’s Community of Scholars. I helped him with his History and some Math, but mostly just keeping him on track with his homework. When I found this opportunity with Frog detroit">Tutoring, I couldn't help but jump at the chance to help more students!

In elementary school, I had difficulty reading. So my mom worked with me every night on my reading and by the end of that school year I was reading at a much higher grade level. This is the type of approach I want to bring to my detroit">tutoring. I want to give students confidence. When you put your mind to something, you CAN achieve anything. To instill this confidence I will do some examples with the student. Then I will have the student talk me through how to do a certain problem and how they came to an answer. I want the student to be doing to work, while I will just be there guiding them when they need it.
