I am a 6-year Allstate Chorus singer and could teach kids how to read and sight-sing music.
For fun, I like to make videos and record songs.
I grew up in Lawrenceville, GA and happened to move back as a young adult.

About Me

I am a graduate of a prominent 4-year university out West called Brigham Young University - Provo. My Bachelor's of Science is Family Studies with an emphasis in Human Development. I connect my knowledge of cognitive and social-emotional development of children, teens, and families with my love of math to help educate the whole student.

I am happily married, and I have a 6-month-old daughter.

Experience

I have 2 years professional experience with a national tutoring business and 2 years private experience with long-term students. I have a degree in Human/Child Development with many college level courses in math and education. I have taught 20+ students ranging from elementary to college age.

Approach

I have a talent for connecting with many different types of students and making the material meaningful to each person's life. I like to make our sessions fun and interesting. I have a strong focus on study skills because true learning always involves self-education. That is, students must learn how to take notes that they will actually use. Their notes and their experiences with me must make sense to them. This is the only way to make a lasting impact. I employ cutting-edge techniques.
