Fun Facts
I love to travel and immerse myself in various cultures. I love food, music, and dancing and I use these passions to learn about new people and their ways of living. I also love to work with kids. I babysit a lot and have constantly worked with some families for years. I love to watch kids brains develop and see them grow and evolve.
About Me
I graduated in May 2017 from New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology and honors. At NYU I've held many roles on a research team that provides an advocacy program for girls who are involved in the juvenile legal system. Most recently, I worked as an advocacte for one girl over the course of a few months and taught her how to be her own advocate. I am now a supervisor on the team. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and work with system-involved youth.
Experience
I began tutoring my senior year in high school. My love for empowering students to be confident in themselves led me to volunteer at Strive for College, where I mentored low-income high-school students in the college application and financial aid process. I then volunteered weekly for a class of 6th graders on the autism spectrum. Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to support students as they tackle their most challenging subjects, and remind them that they are powerful and intelligent.
Approach
As a child, I struggled academically at a very high pressuring school and did not feel empowered and intelligent. With the support of nurturing and supportive teachers, I found my potential and thrived. As a tutor, I will be loving, dedicated, and encouraging in all of my sessions. Instead of doing the work for them, I will guide them through their most challenging subjects by teaching them content, crucial study skills, and how to believe in themselves.

English Tutoring
I received an A in my required college writing courses and during high school as well. I am good at explaining how to develop and organize ideas, and write an effective argument. As a researcher, I spend a lot of time writing and editing papers to eventually be published. This past year I was a peer editor for a psychology journal. These opportunities have allowed me to guide people to become strong writers, as well as share my own work with a lot of people and get incredible writing feedback that I would like to share with other students.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I had a homework coach in middle school and I am so appreciative that I was given the opportunity to have someone help me organize my work and improve my time management skills. Now that I have effectively used these skills in my life, I would love to share my knowledge with other students and be their support system.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I did well in Algebra and got an A in college Calculus. I love math and solving equations. I know that equations require memorizing steps and applying them and I would love to coach a student through that process.
Psychology Tutoring
I just graduated with honors in Applied Psychology at NYU. I did very well in all my classes and, more importantly, I am incredibly passionate about the material. In fact, I was asked to be a Teachers Assistant for the Developmental Psychology course at NYU this fall. I also was a peer tutor in high school and focused on AP Psychology. I am now working as a researcher at NYU in the Applied Psychology department.
Study Skills Tutoring
Study skills are crucial to doing well in school. You have to know how to work the system. Study skills is all about time management and understand what material is important to focus on and review. Now that I know what skills I needed to get through middle school, high school, and college, I would love to be that support and guidance for other students.
