I like to discover new music from all over the world. I am a strong promoter of books and reading as ways to discover and imagine the world. I am also fascinated on how technology is challenging our ways to both get and disseminate knowledge. In this regard, I am very interested in what kids and young people have to say in terms of the role of technology in their learning process and ways to comprehend the world.

About Me

I'm an educator with ten years of experience designing and teaching classes of Spanish Basic, Level, Intermediate, for Heritage Learners, Law and Professional Students, Latin-American Literature, Musicology, Art History and Cultural Studies, at the miami">University of Miami, Barry University and Miami Dade Public Schools. I hold a PhD. in Cultural Studies, Spanish and Latin-American Literatures from miami">University of Miami (2016), an M.A. in International Studies from Florida International University, a B.A. in International Relations from University of Havana, and a Degree in Classical Music Studies. I have some knowledge of French and Portuguese, in addition to English and Spanish.

Experience

As part of my program requirements, I have an extensive experience miami">tutoring Spanish learners at all levels. I have also been working as a full Teaching Assistant of Languages and Literatures for Bachelor students, either for English Native Speakers, Foreign and/or Heritage Learners. In parallel I privately miami">tutor students from a wide range of ages assisting them with all subject areas, including but not limited to homework. I am very excited to bring my experience to the Frog miami">Tutoring family.

Approach

My philosophy of teaching and miami">tutoring is simple. I am committed to provide the best possible support, tailored to each student specific needs and personalities. I create an environment of respect and at the same time great communication, to make students feel confident to accomplish any tasks. My objective is to develop a long term and satisfying relationship with my students, and to provide the highest quality service.
