Fun Facts
One fun fact about me is that I was born in Japan and lived there until I was eight. My parents ran a pizza restaurant and I went to the local elementary school. Growing up in a culture that valued good food and a restaurant family has made me the biggest food lover. I love trying new places to eat!
About Me
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May of 2016 with a BS in Biology. I made Dean's list 6 out of 8 total semesters! I hope to pursue medicine and to one day become a physician.
Experience
For the first three years of college, I mentored an elementary school student and worked on math, reading, and writing. In my senior year I was hired as a supplemental instruction leader (SIL) where I ran three 50 minute review sessions per week for challenging classes. I was assigned to Psychology 101 my first semester and Cell Biology my second semester. These were some of my favorite experiences in college!
Approach
Having worked with different demographics, I have learned how to cater my approach to age, personality, and learning style. No matter what the situation, I always bring respect, a positive attitude, and hard work.

Since moving back to the US I was in a Japanese Immersion elementary school and took Japanese classes through middle and high school. I scored a 5 on my Japanese AP exam. 3 years ago I spent 2.5 months in Japan for an internship.
