Fun Facts

I am in LOVE with both sand and indoor volley and for the last three years my team has maintained the championship title at my university. In addition to volleyball, I really do love all sports. I enjoy the being outdoors, trying new foods, thrift store shopping, and my dog, Rooney! I love traveling and plan to visit many places all around the world. I enjoy live music and festivals (mostly because of all the different foods and people!). I live by the philosophy that life is about the memories

About Me

Greetings! I am a senior biology student at St. Mary's University with a pre-dental focus. I hope to go to dental school in Texas next year and I absolutely love teeth! I am currently an assistant high school speech and debate coach for Memorial High School and a private tutor. In college, I created my own leadership camp for an elementary in my hometown that taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. I am also the captain of the Ethics Team and my beach volleyball team. I am currently the winner of the 2013 National Hispanic College Quiz and a $3,000.00 scholarship. I am also a St. Mary's University Presidential scholar and recipient of a $40,000.00 scholarship. When I was in high school I was the 2010 Texas UIL State Champion in Extemporaneous speaking and was ranked 6th in the nation for public speaking. I also currently maintain a position on the National Forensic League Hall of Fame. I was also 1 of 25 students nationwide to receive the Award or Excellence given to students who have competed at the national level for public speaking for all 4 years of high school. I was the president and leader of multiple clubs in high school including the Speech and Debate Team, InterAct Club, National Honor Society, and Drama club, physics and ecology club, and captain of the softball team. I was also a semi-finalist for the Coca-Cola Scholarship. I am also the winner of the Miss Harlingen Scholarship Pageant and voted Best Dressed of my class!

I have about 4 years of collegiate tutoring and teaching experience. I have been teaching speech and debate at Memorial High School and have been tutoring students of all ages for about 3 years. I am currently tutoring an 8th grade student in Algebra I. I am also contracted by specific schools and students to teach and tutor them in public speaking and speech creating all around Texas. In high school, I tutored and mentored students in elementary and middle school. I have tutored college students in biology, chemistry, and mathematics. I have
