I have an awesome wife and two kids. I also LOVE baking; especially sweets. When I'm not busy with family or school, I enjoy playing board and card games.
About Me
I am a Graduate student at Utah State University, where I'm finishing up my degree in Aerospace Engineering. Previously, I received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I've been researching hybrid rockets and am considering going into teaching upon graduating.
Experience
At Brigham Young University, I tutored Physics I and II for two years for hundreds of students. I enjoyed helping students really understand the material and loved it when I could tell that they finally "got it". I've also had the chance to be a teacher's assistant for a Mechanical Engineering course here at Utah State University.
Approach
I know that people learn things differently. When I tell people I'm majoring in Aerospace Engineering I often hear, "Wow! You must be smart." But I don't consider myself any smarter as an Aerospace Engineer than any other major. People are just good at different things and learn in different ways. As a tutor, I try to come up with alternate examples or ways to explain a principle because of this.
