Fun Facts
A fun fact about me is that I have been to Segovia, Spain before on a study abroad program with my former school. I greatly improved my skills with Spanish listening and conversation, along with general problem solving and making safe, smart decisions.
About Me
I am a junior Spanish/ESL major at the memphis">University of Memphis. I am currently working towards a Bachelor's degree right now but plan to take that even further and obtain a Masters or possibly a Doctorate. I would like to teach at a university once I have my Masters or Doctorate degree.
Experience
In high school, at Madison Academic Magnet High School in Jackson, TN, I tutored Spanish to students as a volunteer. I have applied my knowledge to job and personal situations where I have needed it. Cor example, I work at a pizza restaurant and took an order for a man who barely spoke English. This instance gave me confidence in my skills with Spanish. I believe I could be a very good tutor with my patience and experience in Spanish.
Approach
I usually do not have a difficult time with learning new concepts and ideas in school, but I know how much easier it would have been if I had more one-on-one time with my previous teachers. I feel that tutoring, because of how much more attention the student gets, is a valuable tool in helping students learn and possibly figure out what they're interested in.

I have taken Spanish 1 in both high school and college. In high school, I tutored the subject. In high school, I made a B in the class but in college, I made an A+ at Jackson State Community College.
Spanish II Tutoring
Like Spanish I, I have taken Spanish II twice, in both high school and college. In both of these classes, I made an A. I felt advanced in the college class due to my high school experience and was able to help some of the other students with difficulties.
Spanish III Tutoring
I made an A for both of the times that I took this course, once in high school and once in college. Even in high school, I felt like the material wasn't very challenging to me personally but I still took it seriously. I recall helping people on many occasions in both class by helping them to understand concepts and rules.
