Fun Facts

One thing i do among many others when i am not working and doing research in the lab is hiking and going for long walk around the neighborhood. I particularly find beauty in our natural environment and enjoy this gift and just find so much pleasure listening to the sounds of birds and other animals. When i was a graduate student i live in the middle of no where and there was a farm house next to my building and i really enjoy waking up to the sounds of the animals in the farmhouse.

About Me

I graduated with a PhD in chemistry and did 3 years of postdoctoral work at UMBC. I am currently interviewing for a position in the biotech and chemical industries. Perhaps, in the near future there is a strong possibility that I may come back to academia.

Experience

I have tutor general chemistry, organic chemistry during my graduate studies for short period of time. As an undergraduate i tutor physics, chemistry and math courses for extended period of time. . I have come to believe that over the years that my students ask me questions i would normally not ask myself and it make me a better teacher. It is my personal belief that mentoring, teaching and helping others also make you understand subject better because it will challenged you to be very creative.

Approach

I have been fortunate to have amazing mentors who have help me along the way. So i don't take that for granted. Whether as a high school student, an undergraduate or graduate student i was constantly encouraged and challenged to work harder and to give my all. These well meaning teachers and professors were there for me when i needed their advice and support. I was fortunate enough to have teachers who will go out of their way to give extra help outside of classroom when i needed help
