Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love sports! I am a competitive runner and you can often find me on weekends running in local 5ks. I also enjoy surfing and hiking as a means to relax after a long day of work/studying.
About Me
I recently graduated from San Diego State with honors, with a bachelors degree in biology. I finished every semester after freshman year with a 4.0 after implementing my self developed study program, that has been crucial to my academic success. Currently, I am applying to medical school and hope to be an emergency room physician in the future.
Experience
At San Diego State, I was given the opportunity as an undergraduate to serve as a teaching assistant where I gave lectures, quizzes, and led individual study sessions. Additionally, through the past year I have been tutoring students individually at Ibarra Elementary School. After working with a wide range of students at various educational levels I have been able to perfect my approach to allow students to learn quickly and excel academically.
Approach
While I was always a good student, as a child I found it hard to be motivated to learn or stay focused. Through my years of school and self-study, I have developed an exciting, interactive approach to teaching that makes excelling in school enjoyable.
