Fun Facts
I absolutely love to travel. To date, I have been to nineteen different countries and plan on visiting many more throughout my life. I am a total bookworm so I'm always looking for book recommendations. Baking is one of my favorite hobbies so I've definitely been missing having a fully equipped kitchen in college.
About Me
I am a freshman Economics and Political Science double major at Texas Christian University. I am a member of the John V. Roach Honors College. After graduation, I plan on attending law school with the ultimate goal of becoming a judge in a high court or working on the bureaucratic side of politics.
Experience
Throughout high school I tutored my peers and underclassmen in a wide variety of subjects. I worked closely with the French department as a Teacher's Assistant and the main tutor. Having moved from Arizona to Fort Worth, I am eager to begin tutoring in this new environment.
Approach
At a young age, I learned strong study skills that I incorporate into tutoring in all subjects. I believe that every student excels in some ways but, that nobody is perfect in every subject which is why tutoring is so important. I have learned through my own experiences of being a tutor and having been tutored that the best way to work with a student is to discover their individual strengths and weaknesses in order to develop a tutoring program that suits them and promotes their success.

Economics and Political Science
AP English Tutoring
I participated in the national Great Books program which was the highest level of English courses available at my high school. I earned a 5 on AP English Language and Composition and a 4 on AP English Literature.
AP History Tutoring
In high school I took all three AP History courses and achieved scores of 4's and a 5. I understand the best method to prepare for these exams. Additionally, I love the content and I am a major history buff.
Economics Tutoring
I received a score of 4 on the AP Macroeconomics exam and I am now an Economics major at Texas Christian University.
Government Tutoring
I earned a score of 5 on the AP American Government and Politics exam and I am now a Political Science major at Texas Christian University.

I have always been a dedicated student who took the most challenging courses. This meant that I had to develop strong study and time management skills. Now, I can help other students by teaching them how to most efficiently and effectively complete their homework.

I have always been an avid reader. Through advanced English courses, I improved my reading skills and learned the best way to understand what I was reading without getting bogged down and losing considerable amounts of time.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have served as a Study Skills tutor for many high school students who were struggling with the best method to study for each class. I recognize that every person and every class is different so I create a study program that is most effective for the individual in each particular course.
French Tutoring
I took French courses all through high school and I am now continuing my French studies at the university level. I also love French culture and have visited France multiple times.
ACT English Tutoring
I earned a score of 35 on the English portion of the ACT. As an avid reader, English is something I am passionate about learning and teaching.
ACT Reading Tutoring
I earned a 36 on the Reading section of the ACT. I love to read and I have many strategies for high levels of comprehension while still moving at a quick enough pace to finish in the allotted time.
ACT Science Tutoring
I earned a 35 on the Science section of the ACT exam. I learned that a student doesn't need to be the best science student to do well in this section. By using strategies specifically developed for this section, they can be successful no matter what their science background is.
