Fun Facts

I love to teach. Married for thirty years, we love to slow dance in the kitchen. I hold a patent. I have loved tutoring for many years. Even though I teach secondary Science, I have tutored more primary students than any other and I love them! My Montessori teaching experience before I became a science teacher has been more vital in tutoring than my science degrees. Teaching is teaching, and kids are kids, big or little. I love that I do know the proper way to teach.

About Me

I thought I had dyslexia for most of my life. Turns out I needed a prism in my glasses and my “dyslexia” went away! I have an autistic grandson who also has ADHD and I he is the most fun person in my life. I love him madly. I have a master’s degree in Education and a I'm a Member of the Collaborative for Excellence in Science Teaching.

Experience

I usually tutor reading. Despite being a Science teacher, I usually tutor kindergarten. I taught Montessori before I became a science teacher and I have taught kindergarten online very successfully. I had many happy parents who gave me lots of 5-star reviews. I just started with Frog tutoring because they find the students for you. I’ve taught Life Science, Physical Science, Biology and Physics in public and Classical private school.

Approach

I’m and fun and creative teacher who always has another way to explain things. I am rarely without a new idea for a fresh way to explain if you don't understand something. My Montessori background influences how I teach Science.
