Fun Facts

I love to go on adventures. Even small day trips are exciting to me as long as I am in a new place with a variety of new things to see around me. I recently picked up the hobby backpacking and find it physically and emotionally challenging. I am always up for an adventure and a challenge with friends and family.

About Me

I am a recent graduate of the washington">University of Washington where I majored in Psychology and minored in French. I graduated last spring and had a general GPA of 3.6 and a major GPA of 3.9. I am planning on applying to medical school this next year to become a physician.

When I was an upperclassman at my high school, I tutored a number of students in French as I had taken the most advanced class at school. I also tutored students while I was a junior and senior in college who were in high school. Initially I was volunteering through an after school program where I helped students in a variety of subjects. I then moved to another high school in washington/seattle">seattle where I assisted the general biology teacher with his morning classes of freshmen.

I really value the process of coming to a solution (whether or not the answer is wrong or right), I see the importance in a student feeling comfortable with and confident about their train of thought and method for arriving at a solution. This requires patience and creativity which are two essential qualities when learning. If a student is struggling with the process or concept of what they are learning, I try to guide them as best as I can without flat out giving them the answer. I try to find the balance between challenging them as a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor and improving their confidence in their abilities.
