Fun Facts
I love making friends. I may not look like a friendly person, but I do enjoy talking to people. I am the a sibling to five kids, three who are younger than me; I love annoying them because that's what big sisters do! I also enjoy reading books, watching Asian dramas, and of course sleeping. Who doesn't like to sleep?!
About Me
I have a BA in Accounting and Information Systems from CUNY queens-college">Queens College. I graduated with Honors and made Dean's List two years in a row. I studied a year at St. John's University under the Physician's Assistant Program, but quickly realized that was not the major for me. I have a passion for math and logic, not science!
Experience
As a recent college graduate, I am looking to give back to my community as a maryland/ellicott-city">tutor who not only encourages the youth, but also mentors them. I have one year experience as a 6th Grade academics teacher as well as countless years in private maryland/ellicott-city">tutoring. From making daily house visits to maryland/ellicott-city">tutoring online, I am comfortable teaching students in different environments and am willing to adapt as necessary.
Approach
As a child, I hated studying - I felt like I didn't need to. I was getting good grades without putting in much effort. Unfortunately, that changed once classes started getting more difficult. I learned the hard way that it is very important to develop strong study habits from a young age. That way, you will always be prepared to tackle whatever task you have ahead of you - no matter how easy or difficult.
