About Me

I am currently a sophomore Physics major at houston">the houston">University of Houston. Although I enjoy physics I am seriously considering switching to electrical engineering. Regardless of my decision, my goal to make the world a better place still remains.

As a member of Key Club and National Honor Society I had the honor of houston">tutoring students in the fields of mathematics and science. In addition to houston">tutoring students in mathematics and sciences courses I have also tutored students who needed assistance with the math and science TAKS test. The TAKS students who have been either assigned to me or sought me out personally, have all achieved the passing requirements for the test, some even reaching the commended level of performance.

Education is often given only two components: grades and learning. However as a houston">tutor I believe there is a third component of education and is the most important component of them all. Understanding is the third component and my goal as a houston">tutor is not only to help improve grades and effective learning but also to help the student achieve a true understanding of the subject matter. If a student understands how and why something is the way that it is, he/she will also be able to apply their knowledge to more advanced subjects and concepts outside of the classroom.
