Fun Facts

I have moved quite a lot. I attended community college in Washington state (West coast), then transferred to Philadelphia for University (East), then worked for less than a year in Arizona (Southwest). Finally I'm here in Chicago (Midwest) and want to settle here eventually.

About Me

I graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance (GPA 3.83). I passed all CPA exams within 4 months after graduation. Now I'm attending Master of Taxation program at Depaul University. I currently looking to get more experience in Tax Practice and be licensed as a CPA.

Experience

I had 2 accounting internships in my undergrad. I had less than a year working as an accountant in real estate company and portable container company. I also worked as a tax accountant for one tax busy season. During the same time, I devoted two hours a week every Saturday to volunteer prepare tax return for low-income individuals and households.
Regarding tutoring experience, I had couple accounting students during my senior year, most of whom are from community college or freshman, sophomore.

Approach

I believe in learning through practice, especially for accounting. Reading books helps you understanding the concept but actually doing the homework helps you remember the materials. I will do my best to encourage my students to do the problems on their own. It might take more time to grasp the concept and digest but their money will be worth it as they understand the materials.
